Mmmm… Root Vegetables – sweet potatoes, carrots, turnips, parsnips, beetroots…!
Root vegetables are great sources of slow-releasing carbohydrates and fibre, they grow in the earth where they absorb all those GLOWing minerals and other nutrients from the soil.. They are filling but low in fat and calories, they provide us with energy, reduce sugar-cravings, soothe the organs of our digestive tract and are energetically grounding, too!
Yesterday I experimented with the root vegetables I had left after the long weekend and came up with this Grounding Root Vegetable Soup which tastes great and is nourishing for the body and the mind! Try it out!
